The Well of Salvation

"As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country." - Proverbs 25:25 KJV.

There is good news! Good news from a far country for the thirsty soul.
The wells of this world cannot quench the deep thirst of a thirsty soul.

Jesus says..."But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." - John 4:14 KJV.

In a dry and thirsty land a well of fresh, clean water is life to the body. What about the soul? The Lord cares for the soul. The Lord gives eternal life at His well. The salvation of the Lord is found at His well. Where is this well?

Jesus says..." the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." John 6:63 KJV.

This well is the word of God. Not just another book of literature and stories, but it is the word of the Lord, His words are spirit and they are life for the thirsty soul.

"And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."
- Revelation 22:17 KJV.

One may take this water of life freely! All who are athirst may come to this well. The wells of this world do not satisfy. They leave a soul thirsty yet still. Drink deeply from the well of salvation, the word of God. The salvation of the Lord is good news from a far country. As cold waters to a thirsty soul.

"Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation." - Isaiah 12:3 KJV.
