"I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.”
- Isaiah 66:4 KJB.
God called Israel to repentance, to turn from their wicked ways, and offered them mercy and forgiveness of their sins...but sadly "none did answer" His call. When the Lord spake, they "did not hear". They did evil before the eyes of the Lord, and chose that in which the Lord delighted not. They chose their own sinful ways, and spurned the fear of the Lord and departure from evil.
So, the Lord pronounced a most profound and righteous judgement against them...because "Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations." - Isaiah 66:3b KJB. The Lord would "choose their delusions", and "bring their fears upon them."
Look in the first Proverb...
"Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you."
- Proverbs 1:23-27 KJB.
Sinners who refuse to hear the call of the Lord to repentance, that refuse His reproof, nor regard His word...set themselves up for great delusion, and listen carefully...a bringing of their own fears upon their own heads. Yeah, fears, calamity, desolation, destruction, distress, and anguish is coming to the unrepentant sinner.
Such is the plight of those that reject or neglect the pure Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The judgement and wrath of God abideth upon them (John 3:36). God will choose their delusions, and bring their fears upon them.
Surely their are many delusions in the here and now. These delusions...like false prophets, false teachers, false Christs, new age movements, media propaganda, etc. are God's judgment against those that love not the truth according to the word of the Lord. But there is a coming delusion the world is being prepared for, that it seems ready for in these last days.
The coming Antichrist himself. Yeah, the Wicked one...who will declare himself as "God".
"Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish..."
- 2 Thess. 2:9-10a KJB.
Signs. Lying wonders. Deceptions. Unrighteousness. A delusion on all that perish. And why?
And 2 Thess. 2:10b-12 KJB - " ...they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. For this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
It is the true and living God that has chosen these delusions for all that "received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." The Lord called, but they did not answer. When He spake, they did not hear. They continued to do evil before the eyes of the Lord with no repentance or change. They chose that which the Lord did not delight in...they loved the world and the things of this world. They would have none of God's reproof, and neither regarded His stretched out hand of salvation.
It is the true and living God that will send this STRONG delusion.
Are you prepared for the coming delusion? Or are you caught up in the current delusions, having set aside the word of God, rejecting the Gospel of Christ Jesus the Lord?
Only the Lord can make known His words unto us, and pour out His Spirit of truth upon us.
Are we walking in the Spirit of truth, or in the delusional spirit of error? If a soul has not received the love of the truth from the Lord, they are in delusion now and are ready for the coming delusion.
DELUSION, 1. The act of deluding; deception; a misleading of the mind. 2. False representation; illusion; error or mistake proceeding from false views. (Webster's 1828 Dictionary).
Modern Christendom with it's false representation of Christ is in every sense a DELUSION. Christendom with it's spirit of error and apostasy, it's many false views, it's worldly admixtures, and it's departure from the word of the Lord is DELUSION. The deluded souls that follow Christendom are ripe and ready for the coming storm of STRONG DELUSION. All that rejects Christ, all that neglects Christ, all that misrepresents Christ, all that opposes Christ, all that perverts the Gospel of Christ, and all that feigns to come in the name of Christ...is ripening and readying the souls of men for the coming STRONG DELUSION.
The Lord calls to the souls of men this day...
"Turn ye at My reproof…”.
Repent ye and believe the true Gospel.
